Social media content for Taj Chia sits at the heart of this project, shaping how we captured the soul of Taj Chia Kutir, a luxury resort immersed in the lush Darjeeling tea estates. The Vertical Story was commissioned to conceptualise and execute a complete visual content production campaign that showcased the resort’s distinctive blend of nature, architecture, hospitality, and immersive guest experiences. Our mandate was simple on paper but complex in execution: transform the essence of Chia Kutir into cinematic visuals that elevate its luxury positioning and strengthen its digital presence across modern hospitality platforms.
From the outset, our hotel video production approach focused on understanding the emotional rhythm of the property. Taj Chia Kutir isn’t just another luxury resort. It thrives on the equilibrium between calm landscapes, meaningful experiences, and curated aesthetics that echo the heritage of the region. To honour this identity, our team spent time mapping the resort’s flow — from morning mist over the tea gardens to golden-hour reflections on the architectural façade — identifying moments that translate into strong visual storytelling.
Our production team designed a multi-day shoot to ensure that no aspect of the resort’s character felt rushed or overlooked. Hotel video production at this scale requires precision planning, especially when the narrative hinges on natural light, weather, guest movement, and the resort’s operational rhythm. The Darjeeling tea estates offered breathtaking backdrops, but they also demanded adaptability as the light and landscape shifted throughout the day. We embraced these elements, using them to bring authenticity and depth to the final visuals.
A major component of the project involved capturing the resort’s signature hospitality. Every guest interaction, curated experience, and service touchpoint needed to feel cinematic yet real. Rather than staging overly polished scenes, we focused on genuine moments — warm greetings, attentive service, tea-tasting rituals, slow mornings in the villas, and the seamless blend of luxury with nature. By grounding the visuals in reality, the hotel video production gained emotional credibility, making the audience feel as though they were part of the journey.
On the architectural front, we emphasised the resort’s modern-meets-rustic design language. Wide establishing shots were paired with tight detail frames, highlighting textures, materials, and spatial harmony.
